Last night we kicked of our tour with our first ever "outside SA borders" gig... And what a night it was. We had such a great time of fellowship with the Leaders, Dave and Sarah and their girls, and ate the most amazing food... :) (We think the Brits eat more than the Americans).
Since we arrived at the venue we had a real sense of peace and joy... The setup took quite long as Mr. Porter had to do the sound and he worked on the drums alone for 1 hour (wonder why?).
The evening kicked off with us just meeting some of the crowd (about 120 people) and then going all out in Worshipping God and seeking His presence. God showed up and we had a real amazing time of "lingering" in his presence and gave people the opportunity to respond to some prophetic pictures God shared with us for the congregation. They are a real worshipful crowd and came ready to worship.
After just hanging with God we moved on to share the Wholehearted story and talk about the Hope is Here video together with Tim and Maz sharing the reality of the VOH. People were really moved by what they heard and saw and the silence in the room screamed out loud of God inspiring people to live greater lives.
Afterwards we had such a great time praying for folk and meeting people. One of the stories we want to tell is of the young guy Morne van Rensburg that we met. He had to move with his parents to UK 5 years ago (17 years old now), and he's been seeking God as to what to do with His life after school. He said that he had a passion for Worship Leading and helping the poor. He came to our event without knowing what we are all about, and afterward he was blown away. He said God has just confirmed what he feel called to, and that is to go back to SA next year, and get involved in something like Village of Hope. We were so blessed, to think God sent us all the way around the world, to meet this young passionate guy and be able to let him experience God speaking to him about his future. Who knows, maybe you will all meet him next year in Somerset West. :)
We had a 2 hr drive back from Taunton to Bath and went straight to bed. (James and Danie actually chatted about drums for the whole 2 hours... hence the reason the rest of us all fell asleep)
We are gathering to pray as I am typing this and getting ready for our minstry time at Monkton Combe Christian School tonight. A real great opportunity to reach the Youth of this city. (they are all obliged to be at the Chapel gathering...)
Pray for us today for God's guidance for what we need to share tonight in ministering to the youth. We have a session with the WHOLE school from 6 - 7pm and then the seniors again from 9 - 10.
Will update again tonight...
Praying for you guys...wish I was there. Our hearts are always with you!
